The Wind is Blowing in the Sail The wind is blowing in the sail, my friends my friends The wind is blowing in the sail, my friends This course is ours to take Though our spirits sink and bodies break The wind is blowing in the sail And a guyed mast never bends A story is living in the wires, my friends my friends A story is living in the wires my friends As deep as the cables lie Hailing satellites that scrape the sky A story is living in the wires That no one comprehends The birds are singing in the street, my friends my friends The birds are singing in the street, my friends As gulls and pigeons rise With the elements of surprise The birds are singing in the street And the peregrine descends Those feet are moving to the drum my friends my friends Those feet are moving to the drum my friends They dance upon the ground From the mountain top to the valley drowned Those feet are moving to the drum In a rite that never ends A wave is running to the shore my friends my friends A wave is running to the shore my friends With every boat set fast From the tallest to the least and last A wave is running to the shore And on this all hope depends The wind is blowing in the sail, my friends my friends The wind is blowing in the sail, my friends This course is ours to take though our spirits sink and bodies break The wind is blowing in the sail And a guyed mast never bends

Common Ground Do you live in castle? Do you live on a cloud? Do you long for some other shore? Or to blend in with the crowd For every bond that’s broken For every world unbuilt There is anger to be spoken And hope to be spilt I don’t need you You don’t need me Is that that the best That we can be Life is not a ladder Love is not a bet You take up some space And make your place With what you give and what you get We all need enough We all want something more You can play it tough Or hold open the door I don’t need you ... Where do we go now? What was it went wrong? Does anyone know how We just get along? The party is over Take the bunting down These streets unloved, unwanted The big top has left town Common wealth is common wisdom Common sense on common ground But in this disunited kingdom Where can it be found? If I don’t need you And you don’t need me What’s the best that We can be?

Playtime for Everyone Daniel woke up kicking, stood up straight and blew his nose A cup of tea, a slice of toast and he fell into his clothes Listening to the radio with one eye on the clock He locked the door then checked once more and headed for his stop He said - “this day is nearly over is before it has begun Got to get in line by ten to nine and get the whole job done” “But I want to feel the sunshine, I want to smell the flowers To grow something beautiful in ten thousand hours” Playtime for everyone - make it your demand Playtime for everyone - give us more than we can stand Come on now everyone - put your shoulder to the wheel It’s time for everyone - get it if you have to steal Standing on the platform, Julie’s waiting for a train A thousand bitter pills are still bouncing round her brain She said “I’m tired of defeat and of debts that can’t be mine And I want to get a seat and I want to be on time” Playtime for everyone ... So you’re working for the army, or you’re working for the law You’re selling fruit and veg or selling credit to the poor You’re mending or you’re making or talking on the phone You’re cleaning someone’s mess up or you’re caring in a home Playtime for everyone ... The mother or the daughter the father or the son The brother or the sister - there are many there is one The chosen or the fallen the shattered or the sane The bruised or the broken the pretty or the plain Goethe said to Eckermann - “to live a worthwhile life A man must exercise his gifts but not shy away from strife” But it doesn’t take a genius to show us what to do You try your best and take the rest and fight for what is right and true Playtime for everyone - make it your demand Playtime for everyone - give us a reason to stand Come on now everyone - put your shoulder to the wheel It’s time for everyone - get it if you have to steal Playtime …

Falling Down 03:29
Falling Down When the body breaks and the spirit is failing Falling down, falling down How virtue shakes with fortune’s unveiling Falling down, falling down If you live as you love and don’t fear the ending What you give stands above the senseless descending So grows the seed, and then comes the calling Falling down, falling down Life turns to need and soon hands us all in Falling down, falling down If you live as you love and don’t fear the ending What you give stands above the senseless descending Then find a hill and have faith to climb it Falling down, falling down Still is the chill should you reach the summit Falling down, falling down Live, love, don't fear the ending Give, stand, no sense pretending When the body breaks and the spirit is failing Falling down, falling down How virtue shakes with fortune’s unveiling Falling down, falling down

Kitchener Street Once in every while well don't you know People get up and the People go An army of you and me just marching on its feet To that temporary unit on Kitchener Street Rain and cherry blossom is in the air An ill wind blowing strong that seems to come from everywhere If you want to change the world then it's hard to beat That temporary unit on Kitchener Street Temporary like the blossom Temporary like the rain Temporary like the change that will come along again Temporary like victory Temporary like defeat Temporary like that unit on Kitchener Street How your country needs you like it did way back when Women were called to suffrage while they sacrificed the men And still your country needs you there can be no retreat From that temporary unit on Kitchener Street Freedom's not like property you can't just exchange it You can't make it, you can't break it so you live to rearrange it Remember every step that saw the franchise complete At that temporary unit on Kitchener Street Temporary like the blossom Temporary like the rain Temporary like the change that will come along again Temporary like victory Temporary like defeat Temporary like that unit on Kitchener Street So show up early, bring a friend and wait in line And maybe by the morning it'll all work out fine But you've got to hope for more than just keeping life sweet It's a temporary unit on Kitchener Street Oh how your country needs you
